Description
Ship cables
Ship cables are commonly used as power cables, control cables, instrumentation and information inside the different types of ships. These cables are usually approved by unions such as NK (Japan), LR (United Kingdom), BV (France), ABS (USA), DNV (Norway), GL (Germany), KR (Korea) , RINA (Italy), and CR (Taiwan). LS Cable has obtained certificates such as UL and ETL for these cables.

Underground cable at sea
Ship cables are commonly used as power cables, control cables, instrumentation and information inside various types of vessels such as LNG in marine equipment industries such as FPSO. These cables are usually approved by unions such as LR (United Kingdom), BV (France), ABS (USA), DNV (Norway), and GL (Germany). LS Cable has obtained certificates such as UL, ETL and GOST (Russia) for these cables.
Classify
– AS 4193: This cable is made according to Australian standards and is a typical product manufactured with an air-tight structure. Since a halogen-free shell is applied to ERP insulation, this product is dedicated to FPSO.
– JIS HF: This halogen free cable is made according to the basic IEC standard. Since then the product name is similar to the name of the cable for JIS ships. It can be distinguished more easily. This product is reserved for LNG.
– NEK 606: This cable is manufactured according to Norwegian standards and is a mud-proof cable.
– BS 6883/7917: This cable is manufactured according to British standards and the cover is used with chemical and oil resistant material.

– It can be used for signaling lines between railroads and inside stations. Moreover LS Cable has obtained a British WALLINGTON certification for this type of cable and has produced cables for KTX, to assemble the Korean high-speed subway. The performance and quality of LS cable products is internationally recognized.
Cables for nuclear plants
– Nuclear power plant cables are classified as CLASS 1E cables (to prevent electrical and radiological contamination from the breaches of nuclear reactors, separation between ship compartments, and by elimination eliminating heat from the hold of ships when accidents occur in nuclear reactors) and NON CLASS 1E cables (typical for turbines and switchyards in unsafe areas).
– LS cables for nuclear plants are typical for Korean nuclear power plants.
